As its author says, "It is difficult to define it as a place, as it is just a set of routes with no clear origin or destination. People do not live there, they pass through it when they are forced to and have the strength to endure its harshness and roughness. To walk through it has always been something of an adventure, and anything that happens there feeds the desire to stay there as little as possible. Every city has a corner like this in the depths of its soul. In this case, it is a square whose centre is guarded by an army of pigeons and crowned by an eight-pointed star."
David Salcedo has been photographing Barcelona's Plaza Cataluña for eight years, and now he surprises us again with a book whose sequence never stops, just like the flow of people and animals in the emblematic epicentre of this great city.
