Our Hidden Room
Our Hidden Room by Mohamed Hassan is a tale of displacement, identity, family and mental disorder. It is an enigmatic and personal exploration into the relationship with his father and his homeland, Egypt. Relating/Recounting people and places through his own images together with pictures from the family album, Hassan takes us through the difficult path of memory and healing adding his own words and recollections throughout the visual narrative. We are taken into a labyrinth of emotions that open up a broader spectrum of issues, often hidden or left unspoken.
